Abstract: 5 pages in length. Like many authors, Charles Dickens drew from his own life experiences as a means by which to tell his tales. Indeed, his works represent a collection of personal episodes, encounters and introspection as encountered by one of the literary world's most respected authors. It is not known whether Dickens ever found a sense of solace from writing about personal experiences; however, the writer discusses that through such selfless sharing, the reader effectively gains a more significant understanding of his works.
