Abstract: U.S. immigration policy has been constantly evolving since 1965 and will continue to do so. Between 1965 and 1980, admission to the United States by immigrants was founded in Cold War policy and fear. Since the Refugee Act of 1980, policy has become more and more open, despite attempts to stem the influx of immigrants in recent years. Bibliography lists 4 sources. jvImmPol.rtf
