The Importance of Animal Rights

Abstract: A 6 page discussion of the issues surrounding animal rights. The author observes that there are no specific guidelines regarding animal rights in the primary philosophy tomes, there are many general guidelines which can be applied to specific situations involving animal rights. The author points out that while philosophers such as Kant and Mill offer us a certain philosophical framework from which we should approach the issue of animal rights, even these great philosophers cannot make the issues of animal rights cut and dried. We can be assured, in fact, that ultimately the dilemma over animal rights is a dilemma which will continue unresolved into perpetuity. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
