Should The Baptist Church Allow Same-Sex Marriages

Abstract: A 10 page paper. Although the title names the Baptist church, the essay is adaptable to any church or just to the religious dilemma homosexual unions pose to the churches. Following a brief introduction, the writer reports studies that have found a possible biological reason for sexual orientation. At the very least, these genetic factors lead to a predisposition. The writer then reports some of the many examples of the stands different churches/religions have taken and what some are practicing relative to same-sex unions. The results of two recent polls in the U.S. indicate attitudes about validating same-sex marriages are changing. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
