Abstract: This 11 page paper considers the development personal practice and skills by looking at a learning experience; the way in which driving is learnt. The paper begins with a fictional account of the experience of learning to drive,. This is the examined with reference to learning theories, such as Lewin and Klob and motivation theory of Maslow. With this understanding the value of learning new skills can then be understood when it is a potential re-offender who is undertaking the learning.
