Abstract: A 4 page essay that contrasts the positions of David Hume and Risieri Frondizi concerning the nature of the self and identity. David Hume (1711-1776) was the ultimate skeptic and carried that philosophy to its extreme. Risieri Frondizi is an twentieth century Argentinean philosopher whose concept of identity opposes Hume's extreme position on the nature of the self. The writer argues that an examination of both positions demonstrates the superiority of Frondizi's position. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
