Identifying, Defining, and Measuring Social Inequalities

Abstract: This 5 page report discusses the identification, definition, and measurement of social inequality in terms of differing philosophical constructs. Four theoretical perspectives are considered in the discussion -- Karl Marx, Max Weber, and Emile Durkheim, as individual writer/philosopher/sociologists and then the larger perspective of feminism.
