Abstract: A seven page paper which looks at the issue of same sex marriages in British Columbia, with reference to recent legislation allocating equivalent rights and responsibilities to gay as well as heterosexual couples, the differences between provincial and federal legislation, the recent Supreme Court case and the groups which are opposing the current challenge to federal law.
