Abstract: A 6 page paper comparing the views of society as held by Karl Marx and Auguste Comte. Marx was naturalist and Comte founded positivism, and both held very different political ideologies. Neither, however, believed that any individual could approach the larger society in terms of relative worth. Both sought to obliterate the individual in favor of the good of the state.
