Abstract: 12 pages in length. The presence of Gerry Adams within the context of Ireland's history has proven to be a turning point for the oft-fighting country. Since the time he was able to understand politics, he has loaned both is voice and physical occupation to protest myriad issues in support of a better, more peaceful Ireland. Whether one examines Adams' contributions as President of Sinn Fein, his involvement with the IRA, his role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland or the Good Friday agreement with Britain in 1998, one can readily surmise that Ireland's social and political status is more secure because of his loyal service to man and country.
