Abstract: (5 pp) This classic piece of naturalistic writing, Adventures with a Texas Naturalist, set in the southern Texas hill country, was written by University of Texas, Professor Roy Bedicheck in a single year (1947) of solitude at Frank Dobie's Paisano Ranch outside Austin. It contains philosophical wisdom and humor, to match, the depth and the beauty of the landscape of this particular part of the country.
