Abstract: This 5 page paper considers Vienna at a time of change. The entrance of the city into the twentieth century can be seen as a time of change. Social attitudes were changing with the arts, philosophy and politics all playing an influential role on Viennese society. The paper gives a sketch of the city at this time in terms of the political, social and economic environment. The bibliography cites 3 sources.
