Must We Salute the American Flag ?

Abstract: 4 pages (including 1pg. outline) discussing whether or not Americans should be obligated to salute the flag. The case of Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf is used briefly to argue that the very freedoms the flag is said to represent should inherently allow us to ignore its symbolic existence if we so choose.
